We're Chucks Tacos, on East Foothill Boulevard in Upland and we've been serving the community since 1936!
Los Monitos
Chucks Tacos is still the same Los Monitos that was in Ontario! We still use the same recipes, and we even use the same original tortilla machine!
The Original Menu
The original menu consisted of the Shredded Beef Taco, Cheese Enchilada, Tamale, and Beans. We still have it on our menu a la carte, or in a plate together!
Behind the Tacos
Chuck took over Los Monitos from his dad, Max, and ran it for nearly 40 years. Needless to say, he left his mark, on the restaurant and everyone who knew him.
The Legacy
This is Bernie, he bought Los Monitos from Chuck after working for him as a teenager in the 70s. For 30 years he loved the restaurant, the people, and singing while he worked.
The Next Generation
In 2023, I took over Chucks Tacos with a big responsibility: to carry on the legacy started by Max, continued by Chuck, and built upon by my dad.
Growing up around this restaurant has taught me that it's about more than just food. It's about family, tradition, and the generations of customers that love Chucks.
Now it's my turn to write the next chapter. I want to honor everything that came before me, and God willing, bring Chucks Tacos into a new generation!
